Under the Lifting Operations Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER), Homes Plus has to undertake a statutory inspection of all lifting equipment every six months and carry out a service on the equipment every 12 months.
The type of lifting equipment covered under these regulations includes:
- Stairlifts
- Passenger lifts
- Ceiling track hoists
- Rise and fall baths

How often do you carry out inspections and who does the work?
Our contractors carry out six-monthly inspections on all stair and passenger lifts, rise and fall baths and ceiling track hoists within our properties.
How often do you carry out services and who does the work?
Our contractors, Rubax carry out six-monthly services on all stair lifts and monthly services on all passenger lifts within our properties and schemes.
Another contractor, Medaco completes 12 monthly services on all rise and fall baths and ceiling track hoists within our properties.
What are Lifting Operations Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER)?
LOLER are set of regulations created under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, which came into force in Great Britain on 5 December 1998. The regulations replaced a number of other pieces of legislation which covered the use of lifting equipment.
